Guess who's back, back again...

No, it's not slim shady. It's me! Hola! I am so excited to be back and blogging for all you lovely people once more and I know it's been a while so let me fill you in on what's going on and where i've been for the past two years!

Long story short...A-Levels happened.

Oh, and did I mention that I ran the 2015 London Marathon for a charity called Fairleigh Hospice and raised over £4,000? No? Well, that happened too. Check it out:

Sidetone 1: Paula Radcliffe is in the background... I was running laps around her.
Sidetone 2: that may be a slight lie...

As well as that I'd say that i've grown up a bit over the last few years, but let's be honest here, i'm merely stating the obvious; it's not like puberty happens to a selected few is it now. On top of that i've now moved to Greenwich in London (crazy, right?!) and have started at Greenwich University (even crazier, right?!) studying TV and Film Production (*passes out due to over enthusiasm*).

(*regains consciousness*)

One thing that definitely hasn't changed over the past few years has been my love for TV, film and of course TEA! From now on you can expect to see reviews, opinions, news and gossip surrounding everything and anything related to TV and film on that little screen at the end of ya nose.

So please, be my guest. Put the kettle on, kick your feet up, flick the TV on, sit back and enjoy my blog alongside your brew and telebox.

Misfits Series 5

The E4 phenomena and award-winning TV show that is Misfits, is due to return to our TV screens on the 23rd October 2013 for it's fifth and final series (sad times). The series will feature a few familiar faces as well as picking up some newly super-powered ones along the way. As much as I love Misfits and as much as I'm glad there's going to be a new series soon, i still think Nathan and Kelly were the original supers.
Anyway, what will the orange-caped super-'heroes' get up to this series? All i'm guessing is that they'll probably get through a few more probation workers seeing as that's how they normally do things. And after seeing zombie cheerleaders and crazy nun's who know's what we can expect from those oh-so-ordinary kids down on that London estate.
Misfits starts at 10pm on Wednesday 23rd October on E4.

Bad Education

Okay, just need to get this out there. I have a new favourite TV programme. BAD EDUCATION. For those of you that haven't seen it, it's basically all about 'Alfie Wicker' (played by Jack Whitehall) who is a teacher at London Secondary School, Abbey Grove. The show is now on its second series on BBC and if you're not already following it, i strongly recommend you begin to as it is one of the funniest TV shows out there at the moment. Even more so if you're currently in secondary school/sixth form as certain bits are so relatable its kinda scary. I guess you could say it's a mixture of Mean Girls and Waterloo Road? Who doesn't want to see that?!

You can see the 5th episode of series 2 of Bad Education on BBC Three at 10pm tonight (Tuesday). And if you can't wait till then, check out the series trailer to the right.

The NEW Doctor... Who?

The latest doctor, Matt Smith, recently announced his retirement from his role of The 11th Doctor on the greatly successful TV series, Doctor Who. But as that famous saying goes 'out with the old, in with the new' we can't help but ask the question WHO WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT? With it being such a huge TV series, the BBC are keen to keep info of the latest doctor a closely-guarded secret... That is, until this Sunday (4th August) at 7pm where there will be a live half-hour special presented by the lovely Zoe Ball which is due to reveal all. The show will include special guests such as the current Doctor, Matt Smith, Steven Moffat (Executive Producer), celebrity fans and actors who have previously taken on the role of The Doctor.
Although nothing has been confirmed the rumour-mill has being churning out some rather interesting names... One of which is the one-and-only OLIVIA COLEMAN. No, you did read that right. A female doctor? Why not! I'm sure feminists all over the world will love it and personally, so will I! If there was to be a female doctor, I couldn't think of anyone who would do the role more justice than 'Liv (we're on a first name basis).

Other names which have been mentioned include: Peter Capaldi, Dan Stevens and David Harewood.

See the next actor to play The Doctor revealed on BBC1 on Sunday at 7pm.

Celebrity Big Brother 2013

I have some very exciting news! Well, its debatable but still.

Names, (including Charlotte Crosby (from Geordie Shore) and Carol McGiffin (from Loose Women)), have been revealed to be rumours of who will enter the Big Brother house for this year's Celebrity series. Other names include Sophie Anderton and Rob Atkinson. There have also be rumours that some of the so-called 'Celebrities' will be getting up to six-figure payments for going on the show. Who knew Channel 5 had that kind of budget? Sounds like it could be an exciting series, then again, its never been the same since Davina stopped presenting it.

Celebrity Big Brother starts next month on Channel 5.

GEORDIE SHORE IS BACK

Yeeeeeeeey tonight is the night! Geordie Shore is back for series 6! Everyone's back and down under this series AND Jay is back. I look forward to it! Will Gaz and Charlotte finally get together? Will Ricci and Vicky sort out their differences? Who will come out on top (pardon the pun), the bucking squad or the cock capturers? So many unanswered questions.

Geordie Shore starts tonight on MTV at 10.00pm.

Skins: Fire

Wasn't that amazing?! Being a newbie to Skins I didn't know what to expect but Fire was definitely worth the watch.
Skins: Fire features different aspects of main character, Effy's, life. From her job, to her love life and her trouble dealing with her best friend being diagnosed with cancer.
I can't fault the actors in the series, as far as I was concerned they were all great BUT something I couldn't help but think was 'are there too many issues included in the series?' With themes of illness, trust, sexuality, relationships and crime there's a lot of possible things to relate to. But is there too much?
Comment and let me know what you think.
Skins: Pure starts next Monday on E4 at 10.00pm.
